About me

“Next to grace, I bet God thinks having us need each other was one of His best ideas”
Bob Goff

Hi! I’m Taylor and I’m so happy you’re here! I am a wife as well as a mama to four little ones (Hadley 6, Hudson 4, Harper 3, and Holland 1) My husband is a 6th generation corn, soybean, and cattle farmer on his family’s farm here in Illinois. I never thought I would move away from my family let alone become a farmer’s wife. But God had better plans, and I am so extremely thankful He did. Life can get pretty busy at times, but I’m grateful to get the opportunity to share a little bit of our lives with you.

Lately I’ve been having the feeling of wanting to do more. Not more as in activities, or places to visit, or clothes to buy, but more in the lives of others. As a stay at home mom I constantly get bogged down with the thought of how can I make a difference? How can I share my faith and what Jesus has done in my life? So fast forward a few months later and I woke up to a vision. A vision of Jesus telling me to write this blog. Hearing the Lord audibly speak to me through dreams is something I’ve experienced for as long as I can remember. Most of the time, months, or even years down the road these visions He shows me play out in real life, and I get to witness His power and truth through that. I avoided the vision for as long as I could until the signs wouldn’t allow me to anymore. You see I’ve always been (or strived to be) very in control of my life, and how it would play out. So for God to be speaking to me and wanting me to do something completely out of my comfort zone really made me have to surrender and trust Him completely. Because that’s what He kept speaking over and over again to me these past few months and that was to JUST TRUST HIM. So after trying to get out of this for long enough, here I am sitting on my living room floor writing this blog and letting Jesus do the rest.

My hope is that this little spot can be a place where you can come if you’re feeling down and need a good laugh, or a place where you can come if you want covered in prayer by another sister in Christ. And especially a place to come to read about a less than perfect mama just trusting Jesus to let her find the right words to describe the joys and rawness of motherhood, marriage and adjusting to life as a farm family. If you’re still reading up to this point, Thank you! It means the world to me to have your support. My favorite thing about these little social media spots is the encouragement and support from all my old and new friends! There is just something so refreshing about walking through motherhood alongside you! XOXO
